I thought long and hard about splitting apart my Etsy shop into two focuses: book binding and fine art. Recently, I gave it a try, and so now my fine art and prints are located at studioerinzam.etsy.com. All of my hand bound books and book binding kits are still located at erinzam.etsy.com. I’m curious to see if it will create a better shopping experience for users. If you have any thoughts on this approach, or have tried splitting apart your Etsy shop, I would love to know how it has or has not worked!
My husband, Ben, is participating in an art exhibition called the “Enormous Tiny Art Show“. Each piece in the show must measure 10 x 10 inches or less. If you like to browse great original art, this your chance! The online gallery shows each of the pieces on exhibit. Ben’s drawings are on view here. If you are lucky enough to live near Portsmouth, NH, you can even see these lovelies in person. The images below are just a sample.
I recently went through images of my older art and selected a few to post to Flickr. They include a mix of acrylic paintings, prints, and mixed media collage. Several of my favorites are from postcards that I made and sent to Ben when we were dating. I was in Canada and he was in Kansas at the time. Interesting how, now that we’re married, we aren’t nearly as prolific in our artistic expressions to one another! This should inspire me to make him something special for Valentine’s Day.
